KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Headspace Pte Ltd (Singapore) – Founder and Managing Director: Set up to partner with other entrepreneurs to help them realize their dreams.
  • The Filter Group – Co-Founder and Chief Operating Office: Intransit (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. merged with Filter Interactive (Thailand) Co. Ltd. in March 2001 to form The Filter Group. As the COO of Filter Group, I managed the operations and expansion of the Company’s as we achieved over 100% annual revenue growth and grew from two offices and four staff to five offices (Singapore/ Thailand/ Malaysia/ Hong Kong & Japan) and over forty staff, eventually selling the group to AEGIS PLC.
  • Intransit Pte Ltd (Singapore/ Hong Kong) – Founder/ Managing Director/ Creative Director: Set up in 1997 to develop ‘concepts for the digital youth’. The Company provided effective solutions for integrated events across the Asia Pacific region. Key client was Ericsson – projects were undertaken to change Ericsson’s consumer perception from ‘my dad’s phone’ to ‘my phone’ for the youth segment.
  • Paper Scissors Rock Pty. Ltd. – Co-Founder and General Manager: Set up in 1993, the Company developed methods of embedding plant and flower seeds into recycled handmade paper. Over 750,000 recycled packaging units were sold to Holeproof for their ‘Naturals’ range of socks and underwear.
  • Designed Image: Creative studio for TVC / Film / Video Production and Visual Merchandising (Melbourne & Sydney). The Company was formed to provide a flexible lifestyle, so I could pursue various disciplines at Art School.
  • Completed formal arts training in Australia as well as attended numerous creative courses in subjects like film & music video production, sound engineering, illustration, freehand, life drawing, photography, architectural rendering, water colours, oil painting, copper, wooden etching printing, art history, steel forging, copper patina and silicon rubber mould making through model making

COMMUNITY SERVICE

  • NUS: Sat on a panel and judged a series of business plans prepared and presented by students under the guidance of Douglas Abrams, Managing Director of Parallax Capital Management. Mr. Abrams conducts a twelve-week entrepreneurial program at NUS for both; undergraduates as well as MBA students
  • YCAB: Worked with the founder of YCAB to help the organization look at its goals, focus, programs and expansion plans over the coming five years. I managed to travel to Jakarta 7 times within a span of one year (2007-2008) to work with the foundation on ways to expand and self fund their programs.
  • The Rachel House foundation: Acted as a sounding board for Lynna Chandra, who set off on a journey to provide palliative care and shelter for underprivileged children in Indonesia, who were dying of AIDS. The project wrapped up once Lynna and her team successfully held their first fundraising ball in Jakarta and raised over one million dollars
  • Brew Sessions: Organized casual informal weekend workshops for young entrepreneurs across Asia in an effort to share my experiences and help them solve their current issues
  • www.childwelfarescheme.com: Raised funds by selling calendars featuring photographs of under privileged children that the scheme helped. The project helped raise over HKD 250,000
  • ‘Able Charity Hong Kong 1997 Handover Forest’: Secured sponsorship from corporate as well as individual support was over USD 7,000 and saw thousands of trees being planted on Hong Kong Island to stop the landslides & soil erosion
